Rest day in Napier
Ouch. My right hip hurts after last night's tumble. It's agitated an old footballing injury, so nothing new ... or major.
Have been wandering around the town today (although it's actually classed as a city). It's quite pleasant and on the coast. It amazes me that I did not encounter one single cafe on the beach of the Pacific ocean in this place, Still, my lunch of a chocolate and Guinness cake was good in a little cafe.
Had a lie down after lunch, then I bumped into the tour guides at the hotel. My windscreen has been superglued together an fitted back on the bike. I have been informed that it should hold. If it breaks off during a decent speed ride, there is a remote chance of decapitation. If this was to happen, I have been assured of a decent(ish) roadside burial.
